Summary
When Kakashi first realizes that he is in love with Naruto a few months after the end of the Fourth Great Shinobi War, he resigns himself to the fact that he will one day have to watch the man he loves marry someone else. But when the Feudal Lord, at the urging of the village elders, decrees that Naruto must marry, that distant painful inevitability becomes an immediate reality. Naruto is to marry Hinata Hyuuga soon, and Kakashi? Well, a part of him dies every time he thinks about it.
But Naruto has always been full of surprises, and Kakashi should have known that this situation would be no exception. After a night of unexpected love confessions, Kakashi and Naruto set out to build the life they’ve always wanted but never thought they could have. Insecurities and village politics threaten to stand in their way, but Naruto has never been one to back down from a challenge and Kakashi has known for years that he would follow Naruto anywhere.

His pre-aftercare routine after a ritual looked like this: getting him off stage, working together to get him out of his clammy clothes, clean off his paint, and get him dressed before the worst of the emotional drop hit. He was still fairly lucid then, but floating high on being a vessel for their worshippers’ emotions throughout the night. It would start to drain and around the time they usually piled into their bus or a car on the way to their hotel – like tonight – he would need more support and eventually their actual routine once they arrived and had more privacy.

“What are you wearing?” Three asks, accepting the kiss that Vessel places on his cheek, craning his neck to read the knit lettering on his sweater.
Smiling almost mischievously as he bites into his candy cane, Vessel steps back to let them both inside, and Three can finally make out the words. I’m Santa, it reads, in a comically large font.
Confusion furrows Three’s brow. “What’s the sweater about? Didya just get really into the holiday spirit this year, or what?”
Ves laughs, bright and sparkling, and tugs at the knit fabric. “You should see Two’s.”
