Summary

Do fairy tales of beasts and demons hunting down guilty kings and nobles hold some truth? 400 years of traditions and fools will crumble as a new era of Myths and Magic finally take back their rightful place in their homelands.

"Link woke to a pair of hands pressed against his chest, shaking him gently awake. He saw Zelda leaning over him: her eyes wide, and her face pale even in the stark morning light. The sheets of their bed slipped off her shoulder and onto the floor below.
He swallowed. “...What?”
Her breath shuddered, her long hair blowing from her face, and she said:
“I had a dream.”
The earth shook, the house rattling like parchment drums.
The sky had begun to fall."

Zelda looks at him. Takes in his knit forehead and the desperation she's never seen in him until now. She swallows, struggling to keep her voice from trembling as she whispers, "They're mine, too, Link."
His heavy gaze dips, and for a moment, the crackle of her fallen torch is all there is. The seconds tick by. Five. Five more precious seconds he's stealing from her.
That she's letting him steal from her.
Then, his eyes lift, and he says:

The way he ran and lied, and was still lying. King Rhoam was the one who insisted the truth be buried, but Link didn’t utter a word of protest. He may have come clean, but he had no intention of coming clean to all of Hyrule.
He felt he didn’t owe Hyrule anything.But the question remained, just how much did he owe Zelda?"
