Scaramouche’s eyes flicked from one thing to the next. His soft, curly hair that had grown past his ears and down his neck, perfectly framing his face. His eyes that felt as if there was an ocean behind them. Making Scaramouche want to be pulled in by the beautiful sea, and taken underwater by the waves where he would toss and turn until he met the darkness of the abyss at the bottom. His lips that were chapped by the harsh winter wind of Snezhnaya and the constant bad habit Tartaglia had of biting them. His nose that made him look absolutely divine. The freckles which were like stars adorning his skin, and his scars which looked almost as if they were connecting the freckles together to form a constellation.
Tartaglia was in every sense of the word: perfect.
That’s what made him different.
And Scaramouche hated him for it.
