    The Master nearly dropped the stamp in shock. He’d know that self-certain righteousness anywhere and, looking up—yes, those gorgeous curls and steely eyes.

    Was the Doctor who the War Council had sent him to “solve” this time?

    In the first skirmishes of what will become the Last Great Time War, is the man who will become the Master of this War. Some day, armies will scatter at his approach, as ants in recognition of their God.

    Not yet.

    Today, he is a man trapped in a time loop with an oblivious Doctor in an obscure, backwater spaceport. Violence, infatuation, shenanigans, schemes, and heartbreak abound—over and over again.
