The young marine is tall. Maybe an inch or so taller than himself, although it’s hard to tell when Zoro’s tied just low enough for his ankles to drag in the dirt. Lanky build, painstakingly pressed uniform topped with that stupid billed cap. Neatly combed blond hair covering the left side of his face. The eyebrow Zoro can see curls like a nautilus shell at the outer edge.
“Afternoon," he says blandly. “I’m here to take your order.” Zoro only just refrains from scoffing.
“For what?” he asks.
“Your last meal.”

Naruto asks, "Is it moving?"
"It's moving," Sasuke confirms.
"We're soulmates," Naruto says, awestruck.
"Yes. We're soulmates." For the first time since his family died, Sasuke smiles. -

Commented: Finally got to Kamabakke Queendom in the show, been craving fics that alleviate the dissatisfaction of feeling like, 'there's something here and it could be so good but instead it's going so, so wrong.' That's how I found this. I love the way you write Sanji's POV to be full of constant and vehement denial so damn much. Dragged kicking and screaming towards the most obvious conclusion -- with many more still to openly acknowledge another day, surely -- at the bitter end. I absolutely loved the first part of the spider in the pantry metaphor, when he looks in the mirror and imagines turning on the light. It just made it go so hard when it was brought up later, plus it was so funny. "There's a spider in the pantry and it just told him it loves him!" Absolute peak. Thanks for writing this. <3

“Zoro,” Sanji called out, his voice dry and croaking. Zoro had been standing some ways off on the beach with arms folded, and had started half-jogging once Usopp started yelling, likely assuming it to be his usual exaggeration, but after hearing Sanji’s voice he was bounding across the beach, kicking sand behind him in great bursts. ... Sanji’s head lolled on his shoulders enough to catch the closest expression Zoro had ever made to fear. Ooh, he must really look like a wreck. This was the right choice.
Usopp and Brook were speaking over each other in hysterics and Zoro was reaching out to help shoulder some of Sanji’s dead weight - Sanji took a deep, shaky breath and summoned the last of his strength to drag his arm from around Brook’s shoulder and throw it around Zoro’s instead, collapsing against his chest. All four men fell silent.
“Zoro- please-” Sanji rasped, and he saw Zoro’s good eye widen, his lips barely parted- “I need you, Zoro.”
And he gripped both sides of his head to drag him into the sloppiest kiss of his life before promptly blacking out.- Language:

Normally I wouldn't publicly rec an explicit porn fic in my bookmarks, HOWEVER. I read this shit months ago and I still distinctly remember it being funny as fuck. I was in absolute stitches by the 3rd dose. Like actual wheezing tears of laughter. Someone who usually avoids smut could have a blast just skipping through those parts for the rest of the plot. This is, imo, the best sex pollen fic there ever was.
Reminder to my future self to come back and properly re-read this again now that I'm further along in the show and I can properly appreciate Brook.

Maybe there is something to be said that the first time they kiss, they kiss on a sinking ship. As if to say: this too, is inevitable. The waves are gnashing above the sea’s bottomless maw, and the timbers of the sinking galleon groan their own dirge – as far as this space of sea is concerned, the world is ending. Then there they are, balanced on the cusp of it, concerned only with how they exist relative to each other.
There’s an awful devotion to it, and it shouldn’t be romantic. But Sanji is hopeless. He’s always wanted a love like this.
