Draco looked at him with a small smile. “I can tell how your day was from your general demeanour. You know that.”
Harry smirked. “Try me.”
“You had a wonderful day. And then you were sulky because I didn't come home as soon as I said I would. And then you started to think that that meant I had a busy day. And then—”
Draco paused and took a sip of his wine. He watched Harry's eyes flick to his throat as he swallowed. He set his glass down.
“And then,” he continued softly, "you thought about what it might mean that I was late. How it might impact our evening plans. And that, by the way, is also why I didn’t ask you about your day. I expect you’ll be telling me all about it later.”
