Summary
Loki’s fingers, pale, thin things with the nails chewed off, dig into the flesh of his own palm. It’s hard to reconcile the Loki who killed eighty people in one day with the Loki that’s now sitting next to them, who’s trying to reduce the points of impact by holding himself tightly. It makes Tony wonder if maybe they were wrong about a few things.

“Hey, hey, what’s going on?” Bucky laughed as a dog ran up to him at the restaurant sidewalk barking and trying to run back the direction it came.
“I think this is the part where you follow it and it takes you on a magical quest.” Becca informed Bucky with a raised eyebrow at her brother who sat across the table.
The dog- a black, well-groomed mutt of some kind- ran back to their sidewalk table and barked again.
“If it leads me somewhere dangerous, please get a good mental image of this dog so you can describe my killer to the police.”
“Go see what it wants!” Natasha laughed and shoved at Bucky’s shoulder. “Time to be a hero, Barnes.”
“What’s its vest say?” Becca asked.
“Oh shit. It’s a fucking service dog.”
