    Oakhurst was weird, and not a place Czeslaw would have ever been seen in the vicinity of when he had been alive. Dilapidated walls and buildings dotted the small interior of the town. The air felt stagnant in a way that a place surrounded by trees should not. The people here were stupid and insane, which, to be fair, meant Pyro fit right in. And since Czeslaw was stuck dogging Pyro’s heels he didn't have much choice but to rub shoulders with people that weren't worth licking the bottom of Czeslaw's incorporeal shoes.

     

    Everyone gets a ghost! Au, but we only focus on Czeslaw! I'm sure this goes great for both him and Pyro.

    That gave Slade a pause.

    It wasn’t stunned speechless, nor was it his brain catching up to what it heard. It felt more like a snapshot, a moment of stillness to make the rush after all the more disorienting.

    Slade gestured with cuffed hands, palms facing upward. “It’s not about what I want,” he started, “it’s what you need. I know you have questions, and that I have the answers.” He laced his fingers together and placed his chin atop them. “But that’s… formulaic, too conventional. Why not make it interesting?”

    There's unrest in the underground and Slade seems to be a part of the cause. He agrees to cooperate with the League on a condition: Only Nightwing can interrogate him.

    For every question Nightwing asks, he has to answer a question from Slade as well. Confidential information was off the table, that was made clear. So what seems to be Slade's end goal here, if the deal just sounded too good to be true?
