Summary
When Severus Snape finds out that most everything he knew was a lie thanks to one Mad Eye Moody’s intense paranoia, he’s pulled into a whirlwind of unraveling Albus Dumbledore’s lies. This is made worse when they rescue Harry from an abusive home he should have never gone to and discover that Lily apparently put Severus down as a choice for Harry’s guardian, and everyone before him was indisposed, making Severus Snape, who up until recently had been under several compulsions to make him horrible to children, into an unlikely father when he is certainly not ready to be one. Fortunately, or maybe unfortunately, the Healer that Moody halfway trusts, who accidentally started this untangling of a decades long web of lies, absolutely refuses to leave Snape the hell alone.

And the lake is nothing but blue.The first mate of the Twinhooks loved the Lake of Endless Cycles most out of all of them. Not only did it bring in a ton of money, but it also gave him his precious pet mermaid. The deal with him was simple— Gregor would feed him all the fresh meat he could eat and mate with him all he wanted, and Heathcliff would stop eating his damn pirates. Of course, he wouldn’t get any closer than just sex. After all, you could never trust a monster.
