    “You’re awake.” Aether replied, amused. “But the fact that you have to ask means you’ve been awake far too long.”

    “You’re here.” Lyney reached out to poke Aether’s cheek, tanned from the Natlan sun, with his own pale one, startling at the warmth emanating from the traveller. “You’re actually here.”
