Summary
Loneliness is an insidious thing. When Merlin looks at Arthur, he sees not just a prince waiting for his time to rule, but a young man struggling to find his place in the world, with little help from anyone else.
The truth is, Arthur needs more than the friendship Merlin can offer. He needs people he can trust: men and women who will become his court and his confidants, and if he is going to survive to take the throne and lead Camelot into its golden age, he needs them sooner rather than later.
Finding loopholes in Uther’s laws is no easy feat. Court life is a dangerous game, but it’s one Merlin has every intention of winning so that Arthur can have knights of his choosing by his side.

Summary
In a flash of motion the blade of Excalibur rests against the hollow of Merlin's neck.
‘You are not fighting back,’ Arthur breathes with the shock and disgust a man can only feel when expecting pain and not receiving it, ‘is it out of trust, or do you truly not care if you die?’
‘If it is by your hand, I would make no attempt to stop it’ Merlin replies, breathing just as heavy, a small shake of his head and scrunch of his brow - as if the answer were obvious. If this was what the king wanted - if this was how a destiny ends - for once in his life Merlin would comply with the order freely.

Summary
Hot Rod never saw the Autobots after he destroyed Nyon, he got scooped up by Megatron at his worse and twisted in to the worst version of himself.
Now tasked with ensuring the Autobots lose their CMO, he decides the best way to go about this is to take out his conjunx, Drift.
This is in fact, the worst way to go about this.
(alternate summary: Drift sees a rabid mech then looks around and asks "is anyone gonna help him?" then doesn't wait for a response.)
