Summary
Most of the University of Piltover's student body has vacated, making a glittering ghost town out of the campus and its surrounding blocks. Many are summering with their parents in mountain chateaus or on foreign shores. The ones that remain are arranging day trips, devouring hungover brunches, or still in bed. Certainly, they're not spending their Sunday morning in the sterile, fluorescent-lit halls of the physics building. Still, their well of impending tasks runneth over, so Viktor claimed responsibility for a handful of grant proposals. He's making decent progress, if he does say so himself.
There's a wet hiccup from the floor.
The real reason that Viktor is in the lab on a Sunday. He rolls his desk chair back far enough to examine the source.
Viktor sighs indulgently. "Really, Jayce. I thought we agreed that you were going to be patient."
Viktor gets to indulge in a long-held fantasy involving his and Jayce's shared desk.

Summary
Viktor finds it when he is going through Jayce’s notebook. Though maybe it is his, now, too, considering that Jayce has apparently diligently kept to signing every single page of his notes—egotistical bastard that he is—, but now adding Viktor’s name.
But it is not the horribly misleading Viktor and Jayce Talis that catches his eye—although it certainly does, and he mentally bookmarks that discovery to tease Jayce about it later—or the sketches of his face—those he is aware of, Jayce is not subtle, though he is a little surprised at the quantity of them—but something else entirely.
A guide. To his handwriting.
It is colour-coded.
Or: Viktor has such bad handwriting that literally one else can read it. That is, until Jayce comes along.

Summary
Held tight, near-desperate, against a body that seems to have been carved by the gods themselves to taunt him, Viktor feels at home in a way nothing has ever managed, neither the hole he used to live in as a child, or the tiny apartment he occupied topside, not even their lab.
This, he thinks, is where he belongs; not in the Undercity, nor this commune, but Jayce’s arms.

Summary
It is Orochimaru, in the end, who tells Minato that Jiraiya isn't coming back. But it's Minato who, in the end, must deal with the fact he is the last Konoha-nin left of his team actively participating in the war.
It is also Minato who must deal with Jiraiya when he comes back, and make a decision on the relationship he wants with his old teacher.

Summary
Rationally, Jayce is aware that Viktor provokes fights purely for his own enjoyment at least half the time. Not even someone as dead-set on being a bastard can realistically find enough reasons to start an argument as frequently as Viktor does. Rationally, Jayce is aware that he only gives Viktor what he wants when he responds to the provocation with anything other than pure indifference.
It’s real fucking difficult to stay indifferent when Viktor starts talking, though, and the urge to rip him apart is so physically overpowering, Jayce really has no other choice than to at least scream at him a little bit.
Or: Viktor pushes, and Jayce has no other choice than to push back, because his ego has always been fragile like that.
