    "I'm sorry." Dick says, voice raspy from crying. He still can't look at Bruce. “M'sorry.”

    “Sweetheart.” Bruce moves closer until he's sitting next to Dick, gently pulling Dick towards him.

    Dick flinches, but Bruce is persistent and Dick has never been able to deny Bruce anything. Not really, not until now. He gives in, and then melts against the warmth of Bruce's chest with his head hidden in the crook of Bruce's neck. Bruce's arms fold around him firmly, trapping him in and warding off the cold night. Dick tries to memorize the feeling, in case he never gets to have it again.
