He says it with his full chest, doesn’t bother to try and lower the words, looks his dad dead in his weepy eyes. His heart breaks at the way Dad’s face falls, like a stone guardian cracking. Dad scrubs a hand over his face. Dean doesn’t want to know what hallucinations he’s feeding into tonight.
It’s not that Dad forgets, it’s more that he needs a little extra comfort. There are days where the grief of Mom’s death hits just that much harder and Dad needs him more than ever.

Shota sneers at the teenager across from him. His defense raises like the hairs on the back of his neck as he glares steadily, ready and waiting for whatever will come from this encounter. He narrows his gaze when the teen shifts; just the thought of sharing this rooftop with Japan's most notorious villain makes his skin prickle. “Deku.”
“Y-yes!” the teenager cries out in relief, taking a small step towards Shota, “I’m Deku! I’m so g-glad you—”
“Deku,” Shota growls darkly, flicking out his capture weapon hastily to snag the villain before he can make his move. He's quick to tug it taut, leaving no room for Deku to escape. “You’re under arrest.”
“I-I’m what?! W-wait!”

Or: Despite the long shadow Batman casts and the demands of being one of the youngest Pulitzer winners ever, Bruce and Lois manage to steady each other, in the way that only friends can. Also, there's a case they need to solve.
