Summary
Teru cracks open a beer with one hand, lighting a cigarette with a flick of the other, before taking a drag of the nicotine. Smoky air curls up from his lips as he breathes out, staring out at the pitch black of the ocean, in the dead of night.
Razor wind cuts into his skin, the cold late autumn air shivering him down to the bone. His hair whips around his face erratically, stinging his eyes. He quickly chugs the beer, crunching it with his powers before floating another out of the box, cracking it open as it hits his fingers.
What a pathetic excuse for a man…

Summary
Shigeo has not used his powers since he was 15, and he plans to keep it that way. Until a run-in with a young, exuberant teen named Reigen tears off his hood. Shigeo then meets Teru and Shou, the co-founders of an organization called TRUST created to help young espers grow and thrive. Through these new friendships, Shigeo is exposed to other espers, forced to reckon with his own powers, confront past traumas, and grapple with emotions that he thought he would never experience again.

Teruki would love to say that he fought valiantly against the spirit, and the reason he was now lying against the ground was from immense relief at dispelling this world of evil. However, that’s not the case, and anyway, the breath was knocked out of him from the fall, so he’s not saying much of anything right now.
