Jason Todd goes to Titan's Tower to send a message. He won’t kill Robin there, no—that wouldn’t be poetic enough. Instead, he’ll torture the cuckoo to death and dump his body in the Nevada desert, never to be found—ensuring he has enough fingers and toes to mail Bruce for the next twenty years.
Only when the time comes, Jason…can’t do it.
Now, he’s stranded 3,000 miles from Gotham with nothing but a smart-mouthed Robin, a beat-up pickup truck, and a dream.

Jason goes to Titans Tower to attack Tim. Instead, the two road-trip across the country from San Fransisco back to Gotham. Featuring greasy diner food, shitty motels, talks about trauma in the bed of a pickup truck, and as many metaphors about roads as I can possibly cram in here.

Tim was never meant to be Robin. He knew that- he was just a stand-in, someone to be used until Batman was better or another Robin came along- he wasn't family. So, he hid his identity from everyone. No one knew who the third Robin was, not even Batman. Why is it, then, that the Waynes so interested in Timothy Drake? And why now, of all times?
OR: The Batfamily have been trying to lure Agent C back into the family ever since he ran away. It's a slow-going process. In the meantime, Damian has latched onto Timothy Drake, and is teaming up with Dick to try and adopt him. Whether he wants to be adopted or not.

Bruce makes sure the surprise at the question is not evident on his face, “I don't,” He answers heavily.
Peter closes his eyes with a slow and deliberate movement, disappointment evident in the way his shoulders relax in defeat, “So you're not my dad, huh?”
“No, Peter,” Bruce confirms gently, not sure why the truth feels wrong, “I'm not your father.”
The boy opens his eyes, expression full of grief and eyes a blazing gold flecked with green, “My name's actually Jason.”

It was probably fine getting Batman a room without getting security involved, Amalia reasoned, then frowned at Superman, who looked a little pale. “Can I get you, orange juice or something?”
Batman craned his neck, taking him in with a critical eye.
“No, I’m– I’ll be fine, it’s just been a long day and now it's dark outside,” Superman responded, his voice unable to affect the normal authoritative tone.
