His silence is the highest disrespect of all.
He will not offer them his respect, or his remorse.
They do not deserve it.
Not after what they’ve done.
His lips barely move, but Lan Wangji’s gaze flickers then. “Me, humiliated…?” Fixating on the throng of elders on the stairs before him, he blazes like a fire. “I did not march on innocents. I have not invaded foreign territory. That was not the Lan virtue I was raised upon.”

After the first siege on the Burial Mounds, Lan Wangji faces punishment for impeding the capture of Wei Wuxian. Banished from the Gusu Lan and stripped of the power and honor of his title, with the second invasion underway, will he sit idly by or be able to save the ones he loves?

Summary
Long hair melts into the blackness as if the ocean was her.
Wei Ying observes as the figure floats in what must be the freezing waters of a spring night; as she slowly leaves her bike on the ground and inches to the edge of the walkway. Her eyes remain on the barely visible ripples around the stranger, their form somehow unfazed by the waves' strength this deep in.
She feels unable to think, and to speak then feels like breaking a spell.
...
It might be rude to keep staring, but then the stranger slowly starts to move towards her.

Summary
Doesn't it get lonely? Don't you feel homesick? You may be around other people in this domain, yet you still feel so alone and away from home. Are you man? Are you a machine? If it was both, how mistreated would you be? Despite Coral trying to ignore her personal feelings in favor of productivity, the whispers in the back of her head eventually leak through like a spillage of ink; slowly effecting how she acts, how she works, and as of this context, how she struggles to build newer relations.
Through this particular dream, we especially get to witness Coral's hidden desperation for someone who understands and feels just as ostracized as her.
However, it's not just as simple as letting a button do the heavy lifting for you.

Something smells so good. Wei Ying closes his eyes, already feeling sleepy, and tries to identify where the scent is coming from. He turns his face to one side and then the other, chasing it, until his nose touches Lan Zhan’s cheek.
He pulls back quickly, not freaking out, because it’s fine. He touched Lan Zhan’s cheek with his nose, and Lan Zhan smells really fucking good, and they’re lying down together on a very soft bed because Lan Zhan is too drunk to let go of him, and Lan Zhan is gay but Wei Ying isn’t, and it’s fine.
Wei Ying swallows hard and closes his eyes again.

Wei Ying helps Lan Zhan out of an uncomfortable situation, and they grow close right away, becoming instant friends. To Lan Zhan, they become instant something else. With time, they only get closer and closer, and Wei Ying is forced to deal with his own feelings about Lan Zhan, and his perception of his own sexuality.
