“A little baby Rozanov, with curly hair,” Shane said, looking up at Ilya with an awestruck expression. “And beautiful hazel eyes.”
“With dark hair and freckles,” Ilya countered.
“With a crooked nose and crooked smile,” Shane said. Tears were beginning to gather in the corner of his eyes.
“A broken nose is not passed down that way, I am thinking.”

Summary
There's Shane, and there's Ilya, but there's also a baby.
This fic takes place right after Heated Rivalry episode 6, follows Ilya and Shane as they deal with an unplanned pregnancy without altering who they are. Ilya is still Ilya, and Shane is still Shane. The only difference is that Ilya is pregnant.
There are no ABO dynamics and Ilya is the one that is pregnant, opposed to the majority of mpreg fics in this fandom. This is a character-driven exploration of love, fear, and character realism with much higher stakes.

Ilya seems to consider this, but only briefly. "If we do not have baby, next time it would be you, probably," he says. Shane considers it and he must not be able to keep it off of his face. Ilya continues: "Yes. I thought this. I also thought — our child — inside of you, she is looking for snack, and you are at the fridge going, kale, kale, salmon, sushi…"
"I don't think you can have sushi while pregnant," Shane says.
"You would know this and you would go for the kale. It is too sad to think of." Ilya says with an exaggerated frown, and then shakes his head like a wet dog, dislodging the picture. "No, to ensure our child has normal taste, I must be in charge of her. She will come out of my womb looking for carbs. Not afraid of sauerkraut, or sour cream. Dipping sauce."
