    Eddie shakes his head and smiles up at him with this face, this perfect, impossible face that hasn’t aged a day since the last time they laid eyes on each other. He’s the same, right down to the tie Richie fixed in place just before they lowered him into the ground, some thirty years ago. He remembers now.

    “You’re back to wearing glasses,” Eddie says, like that’s the most out of place thing happening here.
