There was an insecurity there, an odd sense of vulnerability in the brash young man that he couldn’t quite place. He prided himself on being an excellent judge of character, easily reading what others chose to keep hidden. DiNozzo was proving to be a conundrum, a shadow – a shape shifter, dancing away every time he thought he’d got a handle on the young Italian.
