Castiel smiled. His Dean— His defiant, determined Dean— was ever the hero. Dean never gave in without a fight, without exhausting every plan and trying every angle. It was so human of him. Castiel could not help but love him for it.
"Surely you know holy fire cannot hold a God?" Castiel asked.
"You know me." The flames flickered across Dean's face, casting shadows over the hollows of his cheeks. "I had to try."

Summary
Castiel slips from his chair to kneel at Dean’s feet. He takes Dean’s hands in his, and there on the floor holding something with devotion, he understands Communion. He understands Eucharist. He understands believing in someone so deeply that to shelter a piece of them within yourself is an act of untempered faith, love and prayer and deep-wide trust.

Summary
“Have you ever tried baklava?” Cas asks, voice dipping low, a suggestive lilt to his words.
“No,” Dean says slowly. “Is it any good?”
Cas fixes him with a very intent look. “I think you’ll like it.”
And for Dean, that’s assurance enough. He’s definitely game.
