Shadow hates the idea of hearing more than he has to from the people around him, but when he begins to learn some damning information about his rival, he realizes that maybe he should take advantage of this ability while he still can.

Summary
After arriving back in Green Hills, Sonic heads back to the Wachowski home. Shadow chose to stick by him for a few days to decide what he wants to do, with G.U.N. likely on his tail.
Following a conversation with his family, Shadow is arranged to stay in the home.
During his stay, the two hedgehogs' friendship grows. But before it can become something more, Shadow abruptly leaves, asking not to be contacted.
Months after Shadow’s departure, Sonic catches a serious sickness.
One that only seems to go away when he accidentally runs into his rival.
How will our hero go about this? Does he convince Shadow to come back and be rid of his illness, or does he tough it out and respect Shadow’s wishes to stay away?
