Summary
The witch hunt was over six months ago, but that hasn't changed the attitude towards Varian. He is still the cursed son of a witch who does 'magic' in his laboratory. No matter how many times he explains to people that he is an alchemist; no matter how many good deeds he does, he will always be a monster in their eyes, all because of the pathetic old woman who wished to live forever and stole the princess. His life is this is the solitude of the laboratory. His desire is to help people and become the engine of scientific progress. Who would have thought that all this would turn against him when the princess of Corona came to him for help. Varian knew that magic only brought him harm. Expect that the birth This magic, even if the princess would be useful, was not worth it.

All they knew was that he was married for a handful of years already, he had an adorable daughter who was around toddler age, and his wife was, apparently: beautiful, with a flourishing career, and a proverbial domestic goddess.
“Mon ami, you’re very fortunate indeed to have a wife that makes you bentos every single day! And she does it before she goes to work herself? How dévouée!”
