    After giving up as a hero at long last, Izuku finds himself lost as he approaches high school. But, after thinking that it couldn’t possibly get worse, his life is completely derailed when he ends up in the midst of a villain attack with his mother. Manifesting a quirk he didn’t know he had, he was able to fend off the villain, at the price of the villain’s life. But, after it all, Inko Midoriya died far before the paramedics could get to her, all that was left of her being the last words she uttered to him.

    After that, his life was in disarray. His purpose was gone, and the one person that had always been there for him was gone too. Even though Izuku ends up in the care of a small foster home, would that really be enough to quell that hole in his heart, one that seemed to be growing bigger by the day?

    Or maybe he could find something else that fill that cavern with. A purpose. Something exhilarating, something illegal, something dangerous. A way he could actually feel useful. He did awaken a quirk, after all, and there was no way he could be a hero. Why not use it to actually do some good?

    Or

    After the death of his mother, Izuku becomes a vigilante in hopes of rewriting his regrets.

    UA has a rule—no quirkless students. It was added years ago, after much hemming and hawing about safety concerns and lessening blame in the inevitable circumstance of death. There's no real reason to remove it, not as the percentage of quirkless people plummets further and further.

    Of course, this rule doesn't actually matter to Izuku, because he's got an analysis quirk.

    As far as anyone knows.

    The Plan is simple: have a quirk, become a hero, and avoid anyone who could disprove those first two things.

    In hindsight, UA isn't a great choice. And that's before the villains.

Ace stares back at him for a moment, before leaning his head back against the cell wall and smiling. Memories of him, Luffy, and Sabo running through the forest flash before his eyes, and nostalgia fills him. The months that the three of them spent together are Ace’s most treasured memories.

    He grins, shaking his head and chuckling as he says, “Well, I guess if I’m going to talk about him as a kid, I should talk about my twin first.”

    Izuku was pissed.

    He had escaped from his captor and had been free for about a year and a half. And yes, just like he had dreamed, it had been pure bliss. Other than you know, not knowing how to get back to Earth. But it was fine. (Not)

    At least it was until he got caught again.

    Thrown back into a cell on the way back to his master. Great.

    Except for some reason they gave him cellmates this time.

    Absolutely. Fucking. Great.

     

    Old Summary:

    (Midoriya Izuku was kidnapped off of Earth when he was ten.

    He was passed around and sold in space for two and a half years before he escaped and was free for a year and a half before he was caught again.

    Except this time he has cellmates.
