Kuroo's feelings were always an afterthought to Kenma. Kuroo himself was an afterthought to Kenma. Hinata, Akaashi, even Yaku. They all seemed to come first in Kenma's mind miles before Kuroo did.

It takes a while and she considers knocking again just in case he didn't hear her, but alas, the teenager opens the door. He looks dead. Completely exhausted. He's pale, the bags under his eyes are more prominent than she's comfortable with, and his eyes and nose are bloodshot red. He looks as if he'd been awake for seventy-two hours straight studying for a test that was yesterday. It wasn't pretty.
He just blinks at her. Rumi almost laughs at the look of shock on his face
"Still shorter than me, eh, Tetsurō-?"
