Summary
Inspired by the musical The Last 5 Years, in which we see a couple’s life through their eyes but along opposite timelines.
This story follows Carla and Lisa through the 15 years of their relationship. Chapters from Carla’s perspective are told in chronological order whilst Lisa’s are in reverse and begin at the end, so to speak. They’ll meet in the middle and cross over as the story continues.
Some aspects are canon (as many as possible!) and others I’ve taken off in different directions because who knows what’ll happen in the future on the show?! (It’s worth saying that I’ve also taken out canon things that I wish hadn’t happened, for example, Becky being back from the dead. You’re welcome!)

I saw a tweet about how a Baby Barlow mention wouldn't have gone amiss after Carla admitting to Lisa that Betsy’s starting to feel like her own kid on Monday.
Although I'm in camp 'Lisa already knows', I couldn't leave it alone.
