Summary
To no one’s surprise, Luke inhaled the music. Listening day and night, whenever he had a free moment between rehearsing, writing and performing. Alex and Reggie listened too, but not all the time, and mostly only if it was on in the background or Luke had discovered something really good he wanted to share with them. Luke, though, had worked his way through almost everything in the box in no time at all.
So, the night after their Orpheum performance and the subsequent hug that resulted in the boys’ tangibility, she’s not surprised when she walks out the back door to hear music coming from the studio. She’s not even really surprised when she realizes it’s not the guys making music, but listening to music instead. She is surprised when she gets nearer to the studio door and clocks the song that’s playing though. Her stomach flips unpleasantly and she can feel the bile rise in the back of her throat as the lyrics wash over her.

“I’m sorry, but my answer is no. Someone else might be willing to switch if you ask.”
“I can’t believe—this is unacceptable! I’m going to call the flight attendant over and get this sorted out right now!”
Flustered and cornered, Shane injects his Captain Voice into the conversation. “Ma’am, I understand that you’re upset, but I paid for this seat and am going to stay here. You’ll have to find someone else willing to change places or just fly with the seat you booked. I’m sorry I couldn’t help you.”
She hisses like a goddamn tea kettle, and starts to say, “You are the most selfish man I’ve ever—” when another voice behind her says, “You are blocking my seat. Move.”
Shane and the woman turn to assess the new arrival. It turns out that his seat partner is well above six feet tall, ripped as hell, and knows how to deliver an excellent bitch face. He’s also the hottest man that Shane has ever seen in real life, including a chance run-in with Jensen Ackles at a Stars game.
Or, still!famous Shane meets non!famous Ilya on a cursed flight from Ottawa to Boston and kind of (totally) falls in love with him at first sight (and first chirp)

Shane wants to figure out if he's gay before he gets drafted—and no, the way he felt when Ilya Rozanov smirked at him with a cigarette between his lips in Saskatchewan has nothing to do with it. Unfortunately, the random guy he hooks up with to try and make sure one way or another takes a picture, and Shane gets outed before the draft. In the ensuing scandal, he goes seventh overall, to Ottawa.
It turns out, having the worst thing you can think of happen to you when you're seventeen years old can end up being pretty liberating. And land you an unexpected best friend.

The director called him again, and he shook his head, the photos blurring. Whatever. It would have to do.
He clicked "select all," then the messages icon, then Rozanov's name. Hit send.

Summary
The second time Shane Hollander wakes up on November 16th, he has a panic attack.
The problem is — he tries to explain through gasped breaths after Hayden basically knocks down his door, shouting that they’re going to miss their flight — the thing is, Shane’s already woken up on November 16th. He’s already flown to Boston. He’s already been to practice, and he’s checked into the hotel, and he has lived this day before.
He doesn’t mention that he’s also already fucked Ilya Rozanov twice and had a fucking tuna melt that Rozanov made and drank the ginger ale that Rozanov bought specifically for him. He doesn’t mention that they’d snuggled on the couch watching TV like some kind of couple, like boyfriends.
He doesn’t mention that he fell asleep thinking about how Ilya — fuck, no, thinking about how Rozanov had called him sweetheart and Shane, and that, even now, he can’t quite get the cadence of Ilya’s voice out of his head.
Or: After the tuna melt fiasco, Shane Hollander wakes up in a time loop.

Summary
The first thing you should know about time loops is that they’re really fucking hard to break. The second thing is that you can never break one in such a way that it is incapable of returning.
The third thing you should know is that everyone around you has probably been stuck in a time loop at one point or another, and they made it out alive. This is only comforting if you’re a numbers guy, or if you’re the kind of guy who talks to others about how it feels to live the same day over and over and over and over and over and over again.
Shame if you’re not; the most important thing you should know about breaking a time loop is that it helps to tell someone you’re trapped in one in the first place.
