Jiang Cheng downs the double espresso in one gulp, sets down the cup on the counter, turns to the kitchen aisle where the toaster and a fresh package of toast are already waiting. By the time he turns around again, the cup is gone from where he had placed it, cleaned and back at the place on top of the coffee machine. The only reason he is neither surprised nor shocked is because of how often he had witnessed - or really rather still lacks to witness the act in itself - happenings like this ever since he had offered his spare room to his cousin who had just come back to Caiyi barely three weeks ago. Not only is his apartment notoriously cleaner than it was (ever) before, he also doesn’t have to lift a finger to help getting it into this state. Nor does Wei Wuxian - who he is sure is the epitome of chaos, if the amount of talisman paper (written and blank) covering more or less all of the floor in his room, is any indication. Miraculously, the chaos never spreads beyond the door. Quite the opposite, in fact.
