Summary
When nine-year-old Matt Murdock comes home deafblind, life isn't easy. Jack Murdock doesn’t have training. He doesn’t have answers. (He also doesn't die!)
What he has is calloused hands, stubborn love, and the determination to help his son not only survive, but thrive.
Trading Leather begins a series of vignettes. I’ve gone rogue and am thoroughly AU even from my own canon except for the fact that Matt is still Deafblind (which is the one thing that seems to be holding my verse together). I started out this thinking it was a prequel to Idle Hands, but that changed pretty quickly.
Yes, Matt and Foggy will eventually end up together romantically. All in due time. I'll change the rating to mature eventually. Right now, the main theme centers around the father-son dynamic. There will have to be a POV switch away from Jack at some point.

Summary

Summary
A feeling strikes him then, suddenly. A burst of something in his chest. Like the aftershock from a handgonne. The shock of needing someone, and of having someone. Something to look forward to every time he opens his eyes. Some reason to stay.
Henry opens his eyes. It’s cold outside, or there’s a fire in the mantle inside, or there’s revelry downstairs at the Devil’s Den, or a warm body beside him until it’s not there anymore. A story inspired by the Somnambulant negative perk.
