“I...I— I just needed my job back. I missed—” Buck pauses a second, trying to collect his own scattered thoughts.
Doing it here in the fire station was not helping though, with all the memories it brought. Now he wished he had thought of doing it elsewhere. Of course, if not here, then where? Eddie’s house? This Eddie may not let him in the door.
That thought spurred the following words out of his mouth.
“I missed being here. Being part of the … team. I never meant for anyone to get hurt.”
Eddie looks exasperated, almost annoyed, as if saying ‘Typical Buck’.
Exhausting.
“Lotta ‘I’s’ in there. Your actions, your choices, they impact the rest of us. That’s what it means to be part of a team.”
“So... Am I still part of the... team?”

The seat squeaks, and Dean follows the sound, his gaze trailing down. There—where Jack sat moments ago—is a much tinier version of him. He looks mostly the same, just...smaller and more dimply and cuter, if that's possible. His clothes have shrunk to fit him, so he's casually sitting in a t-shirt, jeans, and scuffed tennis shoes. He swings his feet from side-to-side over the edge of Baby's seat the same way Sam used to in the back, and he stares up at Dean with clear eyes.
"Oh," Dean blurts out, eyes bulging, "Cas is going to fucking kill me."

"Yes," Cas agrees. "If you're not sure, figure it out."
