Summary
This little one-shot is in honor of Valentine's Day and the boys. I got the idea by reading about the origin of those little conversation heart candies, once manufactured by Necco and now by Spangler Candy Co, which have apparently been in production with only a few years of a break since 1902. They usually have a theme every year, in addition to the classic hearts. I've used the prompt of the classic hearts to come up with the theme for this little fic: Will U B Mine?

Summary
The first time she ever felt desire was the day she met John Watson.
Don't be mistaken; she'd had sex before. Plenty of times. Too many times. But it had always been a transactional affair, something she'd done to get what she needed, to survive, to move through the world. Sometimes, her body was all she had worth trading and it kept her fed, housed, whole. And later, after she'd been captured, brainwashed, conditioned to obey her captors in all things, she'd traded her intellect, her ability to shoot, to conduct subterfuge, to hide in plain sight, to kill, and to survive.
When she later escaped and found she served no other useful purpose in the world, she traded her skills in the service of the British government. Sometimes. Sometimes it was other governments, other oligarchs. She had ceased to care who at that point. One violent retrieval, one up close assassination was as good as another. One person who didn't go home to their wife, their children, their mother that day made no difference to her anymore. Until it did.

John’s eyebrows shoot up. “What?”
“While it doesn’t happen often, occasionally even my transport needs affection, as annoying as that is to admit. Perhaps I’ll do what you do and find someone to warm my bed.”
“Whoa—Sherlock, you can’t just go trolling for anyone. You’re not like that.”
“Not like what, John? Human? Male?”
“Well, of course that’s not what I--. I just meant, you’re like, you’re like a thoroughbred racehorse, yeah? High spirited, sleek, proud, and damn finicky. You can’t just pick someone up in a pub or whatever. You’re special.”
“Hmm.” Sherlock turns away to hide the flush of warmth to his cheeks at John’s description of him. He grabs his coat and scarf from the coat rack. Donning them with a dramatic flourish, he says, “Of course not. I’ll do my research first, perhaps use one of those online hookup services. Pick somebody and meet up.”
John looks slightly ill. “What, like Tinder? Or—or Grindr?”
“Whatever. Anyway, I’ll see you tonight…or perhaps I won’t. Perhaps I’ll get lucky right out of the gate, as it were, being the thoroughbred that I am,” he deadpans. “Don’t wait up.”

Summary
As a kid, Dean’s dreams were pretty straightforward: food, a roof over his head, and maybe – if he really let himself dream big – a family that wouldn’t kick him out the second he became more trouble than he was worth. College? Not on his radar. Suddenly he’s here, though – on a football scholarship and faced with the possibility that this time he might get to stay.
For someone more well-adjusted it would be a dream come true. For Dean it’s a nightmare of desperately keeping up appearances while he’s drowning in other people’s expectations.
At least until a game of Truth or Dare sends him face-first into the arms of Castiel Novak. Senior. Resident (ex-)drug dealer. Obnoxious literature major. Heavily tattooed and everything Dean is trying to leave behind.
Dean needs a favor and Castiel is all too willing to deliver. Unfortunately the offer comes with strings attached that go well beyond the fake relationship that Castiel asks for in return.

Until he finds himself with a bullet buried in the gut, deep in a desert that the locals claim is cursed - that once you go in, you don’t come back out.
He’s saved from bleeding out by a handsome stranger, but as they trek through the inhospitable wilderness together, it turns out that the only thing worse than being stuck in the desert alone, might be to be trapped there with someone you can’t trust.

Summary
In the spring of 1944, the 104th Medical Battalion of the United States Army is disbanded, and its men reassigned to various infantry companies in preparation for their invasion of occupied France. For First Lieutenant Novak, this is less than helpful, as he has so far met his platoon’s designated medic a grand total of twice, and has both times found Sergeant Winchester to be the optimum combination of reckless, arrogant, and downright insufferable so as to make cohesive platoon function near impossible. When the time comes to move out, however, Castiel has to reconcile himself to the fact that men are going to go down and trust that Dean Winchester may well be the only person who can put them back together again. WW2 ETO infantry AU.

Loved this so much! Warning, lots of realistic battle sequences and bad, indeed sometimes toxic behavior by the main characters. No one here is an "angel" (heh heh), but they are perfectly imperfect as the saying goes and this story pulls you in and won't let go. They are deeply flawed and yet beautiful heroes and so very human it makes you want to cry and cheer at the same time. After much angst, when they finally earn their happy ending, you will sob like a baby. What an amazing writer!

Sam and Dean are working a case in Wyoming, but are distracted by news of a dangerous angel called "Castiel" who they can't remember ever having heard of before. The name seems a little bit familiar, but neither of the boys is sure why.
Based off of mid-season 9 (before mark of Cain, before the angel army); takes place several months later, in September 2014. Case fic wrapped in a big ol' amnesia mystery. NO SLASH; the idea is that this is something they could do on the actual show, like a 3-4 episode arc with some mini cases and a cool story running through it all. GETS VERY EMOTIONAL with super strong friendship/family themes, lotsa hurt/comfort, about three metric tons of Cas angst, feels galore, plus monsters and M&M's.

An amazing story...Canon compliant up to a point. No Destiel, but so good. Heartbreaking angst, but with a happy ending.
