“I’ve taken the safe amount,” he says, which Dan understands means ‘no’. “Do you need anything else?” Phil adds, glancing at him. “Uhm– a shower maybe?”
So he knows. Great.
The only thing worse than coming in your pants like a pubescent school boy at the thought of being drained of every last drop of blood, is the guy who was sucking your blood to notice.
Dan really needs some money to pay his rent. Phil really needs blood to survive. It's a pretty good deal, and Dan gets a lot more than he bargained for.

Would know every curve and angle of this face, even with the heavy stubble obscuring the dimple in his chin, even with the dark circles beneath his eyes, even with the greyish cast to his usually-warm brown skin that is, frankly, terrifying.
“Alex?”
“Took you fucking long enough,” he groans, then stumbles past Henry into the flat, leaving a trail of bloody footsteps behind in his wake.
(When a certain beautiful, antagonistic detective shows up bleeding on his doorstep in the middle of the night, Henry's ability to deal with his attraction is put to the test.)
