Summary
Naruto is five years old when he is beaten bloody by three drunk villagers. He is five years old when the fox demon inside of him decides that enough is enough. And he is five years old when that demon fakes his death and takes him far away from Konoha.
i.e. Kurama kidnaps Naruto and raises him by himself away from Konoha. In the end Naruto somehow still ends up surrounded by his Konoha family.
There is depiction of child neglect and abuse in the first chapter, more severe than canon, which will then be referenced in future chapters. Be warned and be careful if it's a trigger for you.
Title is from Silence by Marshmello with Khalid. The vibe doesn't necessarily fit but I think the lyrics do. If you somehow haven't heard it go listen it's a good song.

“You’re so gentle now,” Naruto looks at him with curiosity and suspicion. “Sasuke would never have let me sit on the same bed as him, let alone sleep in it if he could’ve helped it.”
“Times change,” Sasuke bites back. “Or would you rather I kick you out now?”
Naruto pokes Sasuke in the face. Then he weaves a sign and says, “kai!”
Nothing happens.
“Usuratonkachi, you’re not in a genjutsu,” Sasuke bats his hands away. “You really find it that hard to believe that I could change?”
