He doesn’t want to be alone.
It feels childish to even think of such a thing. He knows his friends want to rest. Some of them were even prescribed sleeping pills because of how badly they need it. He should too—drag himself to bed and collapse on the mattress so the aches in his body will go away.

It's fitting, Michizou thinks, that his past comes to haunt him when he's drunk and half-dressed, leg thrown over the side of whoever's bathtub he's in. It might be Higuchi's. It's hazy — could be his fault, could be the cigarette smoke in the air.
There are frantic, agitated gestures, so familiar and so foreign in front of him.
Michizou waves them off lazily. It's a dick move. He knows that. "I'm — outta practice and half-here, man. Don't start yelling at me now."
There's an annoyed huff. Then a quiet, seething, "this is pathetic," and Michizou knows that, and he doesn't care. If he was supposed to care, he wouldn't be here, at a party, at university, or even living at all.
Then, when Michizou is beginning to come to his senses and wonder why Gin Akutagawa has tracked him down this far, Gin gives a self-defeated, "I need your help."

Sometimes Kaminari thinks his Quirk is out to make his tics worse, the feeling of suppression being similar to having to restrain his overwhelming power. When he was younger and had terrible control over his Quirk, he would spend hours holed up in his room shooting it all out, destroying the walls and furniture. It always made his parents upset, but he felt so much better after.
But he's learned to control his Quirk, at least to some extent, so why can't he control—

Margaret had seen her from afar prior to that—she’s the manager of the flower shop across the street, so they frequent many of the same places—but it wasn’t until Higuchi started stopping by Zelda Confections that Margaret actually had a real conversation with her.
She would like to say she fell gracefully, but it was more like she tripped into an infatuation she didn’t have a label for until Mark saw the two of them interact, and afterwards said, Wow, you really are down bad for that girl. I thought John was exaggerating, but if anything, I think he undersold it.
At which point Margaret had half a crisis, decided to push it off until after her shift, and then had a full crisis once she got home.

Kenji tiptoes over to him. He rolls his shoulder, then kneels down beside the man and pokes him. “Um, sir, are you okay?”
The man doesn’t respond.
Kenji pokes him harder, putting a little extra strength into it with the help of his ability. The man rolls from his side over onto his stomach, groaning.
Kenji breathes out a sigh of relief. That means he’s not dead, at least.
“Are you—” he whistles. “Are you hurt?”
“Twelve seconds,” the man responds, still facedown in the dirt. “Then, I’m going kill you.”

And said stress has only been mounting for the past week—partially from work-related issues, and partially because Higuchi has been spending every spare moment attempting to plan out the perfect Valentine’s Day for her girlfriend, and now…
She hisses in pain as her shoulders jerk, causing the heating pad she draped over them to slide to the ground.
higuchi's plan to give gin the perfect valentine's day falls through when she has a bad pain flare up; gin helps her have a nice evening regardless
