Summary
Scott leans closer, clearly savoring the terror on Avid’s face. It feels as though he can’t move, can’t even think. His worst fear has come true. He’s alone with a vampire who plans to kill him and there’s nothing he can do about it. In this moment all he can think about is his partner and how he’s failed her, not to mention the rest of the town.
He’s pulled from his thoughts by the gentle brush of fingers against his neck. Scott carefully unties the bandages at his throat and tugs down the collar of his shirt, exposing his skin to the cool air. A shiver runs down his spine, goosebumps rising where the air meets his skin.
“No—Scott—wait—”
The protest dies in his throat as Scott leans closer, breath ghosting over his skin. “You make this too easy,” Scott murmurs, voice thick with hunger. He holds Avid in place as his lips brush the side of his neck.
Avid jerks against him, panic flaring in his chest. “D—Don’t—Don’t do this—”
Scott shushes him. “Don’t worry, pet, it’ll all be over soon.”
In which Scott takes advantage of the fact no one believes Avid about Scott being a vampire.

She slurred quietly, trying not to speak to much as her voice felt like sandpaper against her throat. She bobbed up and down as the Lion trudged up the hill towards the blue kingdom holding her tightly.
“If I remember correctly your sleeping chambers are up a tower, it wouldn’t be beneficial to you if you have to climb.”
She felt him take in a deep breath within the golden cage over his body,
“So i’m taking you to my chambers.”

The aftermath of a battle is chaotic. Spider can't really blame anyone for forgetting about him, it wasn't like there was much to remember anyway. But now he's alone, in a village built on water that he has never seen before. He's managed to pick up the fact that the Sully's now live here, but he doesn't know where. But Spider's been independent since he was born. This self-reliance is nothing new. He'll be fine.
