Chapter Text
“Alright Isa, stay here,” Mirabel told her sister who frowned a bit, after taking a deep breath she reopened the door and instead of seeing dragons destroying things or enraged villagers she saw…Camilo rode his dragon followed by Antonio who also had tamed one. In fact, as she was walking around Casita, she saw a flock of terrible terrors spooking Tia Pepa, her Tio Felix trying to calm her down.
When she walked outside of Casita, everywhere she looked there was a dragon chilling peacefully.
“That’s it…I’m dead” Mirabel decided only to be spooked by her Abuela who hugged her.
“Nope, but you gave it your best shot” Alma jokes and puts a hand around Mirabel’s shoulder.
“So, what do you think?” she asked her youngest granddaughter who smiled in response. Not long after everyone began to notice that she was awake.
“Oh hey look! It’s Mirabel!” Camilo shouted excitedly as he and his dragon landed next to her.
“Miraaaa!!” Antonio yelled excitedly as he practically jumped at Mirabel hugging her, unable to keep her balance Mirabel almost slipped only to be caught on time by Isa.
“Thanks”
“You’re welcome”
Luisa had rushed to Casita with her dragon once she heard Mirabel was awake and pulled her in a tight hug then slapped her slightly.
“Ouch what was that for?!?” Mirabel complained
“That’s for scaring us!” Luisa scolded only to hug her again. Mirabel hugged back.
“Turns out all we needed was a little more of…this” Abuela said as she pointed at Mirabel.
“You just gestured all of me” Mirabel muttered but smiled brightly when she saw the pride in Abuela’s eyes. That’s all she ever wanted.
“Well, most of you” Agustin joined in as he gestured to Mirabel’s prosthetic leg.
“What do you think?” He asked.
“Not bad Papi, but I think it might need a few tweaks” Mirabel decided.

Mirabel was later informed about all the changes that occurred while she was unconscious. Bruno had officially returned, he was grounded by an angry Tia Pepa. Encanto had finally made peace with dragons and Alma had allowed them to stay around the village.
Dolores introduced Isabela as Rose to the adults however, the grandkids knew about her identity. Julieta had grown a strong connection with the Night Fury not really knowing it was her eldest daughter.
As for Isa, she was basically not leaving Mirabel’s side. The two were now inseparable just like they were when kids. Now with the freedom of flying around the village without being hunted both felt safer, and happier. Isabela slowly started accepting being a dragon. However…
Just because Isa was accepting that being a dragon is not so bad after all this didn’t mean that she didn’t want to break the curse. The war with the dragons might be over but Isabela, Mirabel, and the other grandkids were on a mission.
Find the one who was responsible for the curse and figure out how to break Isabela free from it. Mirabel was determined to get her sister back no matter who or what they’d have to face. And most importantly…
They would face it together
