Summary
Morpheus is clinically depressed, and suicidal, and immortal. He is also, inexplicably, friends with the personification of Hope.
Or he was, until he told his friend that hope was useless, and stormed out of their meeting.
When Hope doesn't show up to their next meeting, Morpheus sets out to rescue him, and their friendship -- and learns that he might have already found what he needed a long time ago.

Hob is Hope in this one and he is trying to inspire Morpheus to want to live. The meetings and abduction by Rodrick still happen, minus the quest for his tools. SPOILER: This one is where Hope is buried alive in Roderick’s cellar and Morpheus has to dig him out. Despair rather than Desire is the villain in this one.
