Palamedes dropped the encyclopedia with a thump and leaned his head back all the way. Camilla reached a finger over to keep his glasses from sliding off.
“What's wrong, Warden?”
He sat up straight again. Her hand fell.
“I think my brain is melting. I should check for CFS in my nose. I just can't get these calculations right.”
She reached over and grabbed his scratch paper, starting to trace his logic from the top.
“Cam, I'm not meaning to take you from your own work.”
She shook her head. “I need a break too. You can take mine over."
