"Shit," George breathed, "it's— something is stuck inside my leg. It's tearing."
Max grimaced. "Fuck." The rain was continuous; they didn't have much time to sit around and think of their options. "Either I somehow manage to drag you and the metal back to the ship," Max started rattling off suggestions but even he knew that the first one was unlikely. George was lean and lanky, the metal sheet was wide, there was no way Max would be able to successfully bring both back to the wreckage.
"Or you pull it out and we hope for the best."
"That sounds like a terrible idea, George."
