Summary
A seemingly routine mission turns out to be a trap set by a group of Romulans to get back at Kirk. It is up to Spock to rescue his Captain before it is too late... for them both.
His blood thrummed with the knowledge of having the crew of the Enterprise at his side, and for a moment, he knew how the Vulcans of old had felt when they rode into battle to retrieve one’s t’hy’la from a rivalling clan – side by side with their brothers in arms – before he shook the sensation off. His blood was burning for Jim, the fever rising the longer he was separated from him, but he couldn’t fall back on the instincts of his ancestors. Firing a torpedo while at wrap would be as unadvisable as throwing a spear at a sehlat that was carrying someone – it would only end in death and devastation.
