Magick roused back with a scream so powerful that its waves rippled over the trees, along the streams and above the flat surface of the lake.
The Sidhe’s court shook with the sudden burst of power, as staffs shattered and wings crumpled, as their eternal palaces crumbled and collapsed under the pression of it, as magick came alive again with the memory of fire, death and sorrow.
A destruction meant to build a new world on the ruins of the old one.
Every creature from the smaller to the most mighty felt the ripple of it, heeded its call. Magick is back, the wolves howled, magick is back, the crickets sang and the Druid claves hidden in the forest fell to their knees for Emrys had come. He had come to deliver them of their plague and their ruin.
Deliver them of the swords in their back and the blades at their neck, of the fire at their feet.
Yet, when Morgause claimed the right to set out and approach Emrys and to bring him back to them to start the campaign to free them all, the ancient crone warned her with blind eyes and overreaching hands, “magick is law and law is magick, you cannot have one without the other” she said “and one cannot be without the other. Summary
In a land of myth and a time of legend. Tales are told and heroes beckoned. Fairy tales tell, as their labels imply, stories of magic, of creatures that fly. With giants and dragons and ogres and elves, and inanimate objects that bitch for themselves. There's romance and danger and plotting of schemes. There's good guys and bad guys and some guys in between.
A fairy tale also reveals some sort of truth, the perils of choices we face in our youth. But our story today is different in theme, for our hero had no choice, or so it would seem. It starts with a priestess bestowing a spell of yore. This one's for a baby named Merlin of Ealdor.

When Merlin's magic is exposed shortly before season 2 starts, the path of destiny starts changing forever. Now on the run with Arthur, Morgana, and Gwen. Merlin hopes to convince Arthur that magic is totally good instead of him and Morgana just being an exception. Morgana, meanwhile, hopes to convince him to usurp his father. As allies are gathered and Arthur realizes the injustice in his kingdom, it looks more and more like he will have to act in a drastic way. A way he dreads.
Meanwhile, Arthur and Merlin are growing closer and closer and might just have feelings for each other. Something they probably should be better about realizing, considering the example of Gwen and Morgana right next to them.
