Summary
If you asked anyone in Will's life they'd say he's moved on, and technically it is true — he's found new friends, had (and loved) a few boyfriends, done things his younger self wouldn't even think possible. Still, it wouldn't be entirely accurate, because that's not how Will sees it: moving on is a "directional" term, it implies the existence of a straight line connecting point A (the past) to point B (the future) that everyone must walk, regardless of what, or who, is left behind.
And this is something Will simply can't accept.
He has learned to live without El because he had to, but that doesn't mean he's moved on from her. Nor that he wants to.
He has learned to live without Mike too. But moving on? Na-ah.
OR
After years of miscommunication and regrets, in the late 90s Mike and Will lose touch for good.
One night in 2002 Karen Wheeler calls Will at his Montauk home and tells him that her son has just tried to kill himself.

Trying to live a normal uneventful muggle life until a certain James Potter came to his house with an apology and practically begged for him to return. Severus was having none of it.
(an AU where the event by the lake didn’t happen. Severus didn’t call Lily a mudblood. Severus and Lily are still best friends, with Regulus. Lily is a Lesbian and came out during their 5th year. The Shrieking Shack prank still happened but Sirius didn’t actually want him to die. James has a crush but he’s an idiot. Remus just wants to avoid drama. Severus is done and left Hogwarts to live in the Muggle World.)

This fic is so good. I had to stop half way trough though cuz it made me wanna scream in frustration and strangle james at the same time.
Its a fic where the werewolf incident finally pushes sev over the edge and he breaks his wand amd leaves hogwarts. Of course james is like a kid pulling the hair of the girl he likes which happened to be sev. He bothered him cuz he wouldnt give him his attention any other way
