Arriving in the Wizarding World having known magic was real for years, she is not so overwhelmed by all of it and so see's things that another Harry Potter completely missed. Her love of everything serpentine leads her to joining the snake pit that is Slytherin House and navigating the messy writhing politics that lie within. Will she be able to survive the house of green and silver long enough to graduate with her sense of self still intact? And who is the dark, brooding Professor who looks at her with an entire ocean of grief and longing hidden in the depths of his onyx eyes? Harriet doesn't know, but she intends to find out.
