Whatever happened to Marty McFly?
After Marty returns from the past he finds himself in a very different present than the one he remembers. His family is rich, his brother has an office job that Marty knows nothing about and by some stroke of luck Marty and his beloved girlfriend Jenifer are still together but the versions of their relationship that each of them remember are completely different.
It’s tough trying to get back to his normal life when Marty doesn’t know what his normal is anymore. People suddenly have expectations that he doesn’t know how to live up to. His teachers are expecting him to keep up high grades. Jenifer is getting suspicious when Marty talks about the party that they had for their first anniversary when they spent that whole weekend alone in the McFly’s cabin.
Objectively, Marty’s life is going very well. The problem is, he doesn’t remember how he did it.

Smosh's financial difficulties seem never ending until Anthony, who Ian hasn't talked to in years, swoops in to buy the whole thing up. Ian doesn't know how to feel about it, or what Anthony's game is, but he does know that he'll do whatever Anthony wants as long as it means keeping the company alive.
As for Anthony, he's just excited to have his creation back under his control like it was always meant to be, and to have Ian back within reach.

It was the precursors who made them come here, on top of the highest skyscraper, so they would be on the front row to witness the extermination of humanity. But even as the city burned right before their eyes, Newton and Hermann didn’t feel anything. Their minds had been too thoroughly broken and remolded by their captors for them to care anymore. No compassion or concern for mankind remained in their hearts. All they had left was their love for each other.
Or the AU where the precursors took possession of both Newton and Hermann, used them and the strength of their bond to destroy humanity, then lost their control over them. But even if they managed to free themselves, it didn’t mean Newton and Hermann came out unscathed.

When Hermann showed up at Shao’s Industries, only months after Newton had been hired, the precursors thought getting rid of him would be easy. They just had to go through Newt’s mind, find something Hermann would hate him for, and act on it.
A perfect plan, except for one little detail: Newton’s crush on Hermann wasn’t as unrequited as he believed and confessing his love didn’t make him want to leave, quite the contrary.
Now, they needed to find another way to get rid of him, and fast.
Or Hermann unknowingly fucks the precursors out of Newt.

Simon can't make sense of it, this C.O.I member wanting to help him, his strange ramblings of other universes and wormholes and paradoxes. The company was nice, he supposed. As the two exchange theories and conversations and comforts, the horrors persist, secrets are unearthed and discoveries are made that could possibly change everything.
But why does it feel like they're the only ones who care?
