"Derek fucking Hale!"
The shout rang through the bar and for a long moment nobody moved. It was like something out of a movie. Everything just stopped; the music cut off; one of the servers had frozen mid-pour. Grady would have laughed if he weren't holding his breath. The kid straightened his shirt, a glimpse of stomach showing the curling edges of a tattoo on his hip, and strode toward where Hale was sitting in the dark corner. As one, every supe in the place turned to see Hale's reaction; the last person to try to confront Hale in here had left with a broken hand and a whispered threat that the next time Hale would rip their throat out. With his teeth. Unsurprisingly, Hale's face was set in its usual glower, although it seemed a bit softer around the eyes. It took Grady a second to realise Hale knew the kid.

Summary
Stiles world ended when his pack died. It didn’t exactly come as a surprise. He had been running with wolves for so long that within hunters and monsters it was just a matter of time.

“Time travel,” he said in neutral tone.“Yep,” said Stiles.
“Werewolves,” said John pointing at the Hales.
Peter Hale made his eyes glow blue and smiled at the sheriff. Somehow the fact that one of his arms was scarred from the fire made the image more threatening than it already was.
“Yep,” said Stiles again.
“And you have magical powers,” said John.
“Yep.”
The sheriff looked at the room once more and massaged his head. “I need more coffee.”

Summary
Derek/pack kidnap Stiles to learn more about the rival pack, after being forced to let him go due to a medical emergency they decide to follow around the teen in the interest of figuring out what is going on with him and the pack. Through this they notice more and more about Stiles and the bruises that seem to be popping up on his skin each day. With no one else seeming to notice, not even his pack, the Hale’s are forced to step in for the safety of the boy that has started to grow on them.
