Will has been comfortable wearing a mask of his own making. Being a radio host kept him alive - away from everything that bothered him and was ever real. He was happy. Happily losing himself in something he was not.
But one day something changes.
A knock on the door. A new, unfamiliar face.
"Alright these will have to do for now." the boy, his new coworker, says. "I'm Tommy by the way."
And isn't that. Isn't that out of the ordinary.
Or
William Gold finds himself lost, trying to figure out Tommy who now works at his radio station. Why would this random guy always have new cassette tapes of THE artist everyone seems to be obsessed with nowadays? ...Also why can't Will stop looking at him?
A story about two guys trying to figure out who they are. Add onto that some self-doubt, sexual tension, friendships, music and boys in skirts.

“Oh, it's Scar’s newest bit,” Grian answered casually. It was definitely nothing that warranted that sort of reaction, didn't even make top 5 of craziest things Scar had done. Maybe not even top 10. He flattened the shopping district overnight just a few weeks ago.
“His newest bit…” Gem shook her head, recomposing herself. “Can you please explain what exactly is the bit?” Before Grian could reply, she added: “From the very beginning, with as many details as possible. What is wrong with you two?”(or: Scar rehearses to get the best love confession)

He thumbs away the stain. “Don’t worry. You’ll cover his weaknesses, too.”
“...And yours?” Topaz watches his finger, sipping her own drink.
Before he frees his flightless inhibitions by emptying his glass, he smiles again—and makes sure it touches the corners of his eyes.
“Scapegoat, remember?”
