Dazai would bet money he did not have that this whole situation was the President’s fault.
..
That wasn’t entirely fair. It was much more likely this was all Ranpo’s fault, and the President was just an unknowing, well-intentioned accomplice.
Did Dazai enjoy any opportunity to rile up Yokohama’s angriest little slug? Certainly. Did that in any way mean that he was looking for his coworkers to meddle in his personal life? Obviously not.
