Summary
"You mean to tell me you've never kissed anyone before?"
Bashir sounded far too curious for Garak's comfort, and already, Garak was regretting his uncharacteristic honesty. Truly, he should have anticipated this — or rather, he should have listened when he did anticipate this, instead of allowing himself to get swept away by — by sentimental fantasies.
Foolish, he thought bitterly, tip of his tail swaying with agitation beneath the table. That you could imagine that Bashir might actually want—
He huffed, shoving aside his frustration, then consciously allowed his jaw to drop open into a vague imitation of a human grin.
"My dear Doctor," Garak said, putting on an air of indulgent good humor as he tipped his snout forwards. "I do not have lips. Why would I make a habit of kissing?" To further remind Bashir of his... inhuman anatomy, he allowed his forked tongue to flick out over the table, just once.

Summary
Uhura remembered the kiss, certainly. She remembered the sensation of Kirk's lips against hers when neither of of them wanted it, oppressive and choking. She remembered her shame, her anger, her acute discomfort, all of which still raged within her as she recalled those painful minutes — but she remembered, too, Kirk's anger, burning in his eyes at the Platonians' cruelty. She remembered the gentleness of his hands against her shoulders, pressing soft apologies into her skin even as they were forced to violate her — violate them both, she reminded herself, for she was not the only one harmed. She remembered his voice, his words, urging her to forget the Platonians and her fear.
--
After the events of Plato's Stepchildren, Kirk asks Uhura to speak with him. Both have the chance to do some healing.

Summary
But then, the transporter grated again into motion, a terrible whine leaving it as a beam of light slowly consolidated into a heartrendingly familiar form. Kirk stared, half agony and half hope, hardly daring to imagine it was possible. The beam wavered, then settled, and there he suddenly was — somewhat ruffled, yes, but upright and breathing.
The most beautiful creature that Kirk could imagine — Spock, alive! — stood at attention on the transporter pad, and, overcome, Kirk could do nothing else but take him by the arms and kiss him. It was sheer animal instinct, urging him to grasp what once was thought lost and draw it close.
-
When a transporter malfunction leads Kirk to believe that Spock has died, he has an entirely proportionate response to the revelation that he hasn't. Spock, fortunately, has no objections.

Summary
When rain interrupts their shore leave, Kirk and Spock find themselves taking shelter in a greenhouse filled with Vulcan plants. Kirk is very in love. (Luckily for him, Spock is, too.)
-
Kirk turned towards him, and was greeted with the sight of Spock standing in the doorway, looking thoroughly disgruntled as water streamed down him and pooled at his feet. His arms were held awkwardly apart from his body, and his sodden robes were plastered to him, accentuating his slim form. Misery was evident in the lines of his face, made mockery of by the water droplets dripping placidly from the tip of his nose.
And Kirk, again, burst into laughter. “You look like a drowned cat!”
Spock turned towards him stiffly, looking affronted. “Hardly.”
Then, to make a liar of him, his ears twitched.
Like a cat’s.

Summary
"You're hurt," Kirk gasped, pressing his hands to the dark stains on Spock's chest, searching for the wound he knew must be there. Dread lanced through his chest, almost painful.
He couldn't lose Spock.
There was — so much blood. It was so violently red, and there was so much of it, far more than should ever be outside a body, and Kirk knew, even through the haze overtaking his mind, that if he couldn't find its source, couldn't stem its flow, Spock would die. But each press of his hands succeeded only in spreading the color, painting Spock's skin with ever more crimson (and something about that didn't look right to him, now, but he didn't have time to think about why, not with Spock so injured).
"Jim," Spock said, strangled. His voice sounded far away, almost muted to Kirk's ears. Something startlingly close to panic was writ across his face, shocking against his Vulcan features. Jim wondered if he was in very much pain.

Summary
For every gasping breath that he took, for every shaky mouthful of air that he breathed into Spock, how many more did those desert-bred lungs actually need? Something hot and desperate was clamping down on his insides, even as he tried to keep each breath steady. He couldn’t do this, couldn’t breathe for Spock forever. In his mind’s eye, he pictured his — their — silver lady soaring high in orbit around the planet, circling over this vast body of water. Find me, Kirk thought, feeling his lungs beginning to burn with the effort of breathing for two. Find us. Bring us home.
-
Post-Turnabout Intruder, Kirk grapples with returning to his captaincy and with his feelings for his First Officer as the Enterprise crew becomes embroiled in the affairs of the utopian underwater city of Ark. Everything comes to a head when the diplomatic mission is complicated with variables outside their control, and Spock bears the brunt of the consequences.
