Summary
The conversation that followed in the morning was a revelation, a new realisation into kinks Ghost hadn’t fully considered before, and Soap’s downright sinful eyes convinced him to give it a go. 'I wouldn’t have minded', Soap said, casually throwing the suggestion out like it was nothing to him, 'only for you, though, L.t.'
Ghost needed a day to process, and another to corner Soap for the specifics, setting up rules and scenarios to initiate. They talked of what was on the table — a lot, considering it was Soap — and the little that wasn’t.

“Think I can see a fox, LT.”, he declared, a grunt coming from his left, Ghost acknowledging the very precious information.
“Stay fox-cused on the mission, Johnny.”, he answered, making Soap groan, but he knew the sergeant was fighting off a smile, even in the darkness of the night, where Ghost wouldn’t know if he did.
The mission was simple, on paper. Wait for the target, eliminate the target, leave. Except the target was set to appear between 9PM and 6AM, and they’d been here for six hours already.Even Ghost had to admit he was getting incredibly bored.

Summary
He couldn't remember the last time touch meant love to him. It must've been some time when he was little, when his mother's hands were still tender and he looked less like his father. As he grew taller and bulkier, and his words grew defensive and harsh, she began to stare straight through him. The last gentle touch he'd ever taken without shivering beneath it was her thin fingers dragging over the bruises mottling his arms, never apologizing but always looking sorry.
His body waited for Soap to grab, to pull, to dig his nails in just because he could — but he didn't. He roamed over Ghost's skin like it was fragile, never lingering on the remnants of a past he'd never spoken of. It was too much. Too Johnny. He wished his shoulders would stop trembling just for a moment so he could feel that sweetness without a lingering sense of dread in his bones.
or: A new recruit triggers a flashback by pinning Ghost down during a sparring match and ignoring his tap out. Panicked, Ghost dislocates his own shoulder to free himself, and Soap has to pick up the pieces while Ghost confronts feelings from his past he thought he'd buried.

Summary
"'Bout time we got another reptile in here," Gaz says brightly. "Maybe now Cap'll finally invest in some proper heaters."
Soap chuckles, smoke leaking from his nostrils when he grins. "Ah'm plenty warm," he teases, drawing Gaz under his wing, the snake wriggling happily, his round pupils shining as his cheeks flush pink. He rests his chin on Soap's shoulder with a tiny hiss, content to curl around him and soak up the heat of Soap's fire.
"Ghost is out on a mission," Price tells him. "You'll only get to meet him when it's basically wheels-up, unfortunately. He's, ah, a bit of a prickly sort, but impress him and you won't have any problems."
