Summary
“Do you ever shut the fuck up?” a voice grumbles into Shouto’s neck, startling him.
For a moment, Shouto assumes Katsuki might be sleep-talking but that can’t be right because he’s never done that. In fact, if either of them were going to do that then as the past has proven it would probably be-
“You. Yeah. I know,” Katsuki grunts, a strange lilt to his voice that has enough power to turn the earth on its axis four times over.
Eyes narrowed, he flicks Shouto on the forehead with two of his fingers.
“You’re so fucking stupid.”
Katsuki has an innate talent for turning words that aren’t very nice into extremely lovely things. There’s a tiny bite behind the syllables, never intended to reach further than the curve of a mouth.
“Oi. Did you really forget what happened last night?”
Katsuki gets hit by a quirk. It really shouldn't cause this much of a commotion.

Todoroki just stands there, blinking, as if looking like a head-empty beautiful bastard is his fucking job. Katsuki can’t think of anyone more pointless to use a quirk like this on. Obviously it’s been annoying as fuck, but like – it’s Todoroki. He’s already the most beautiful thing most of them have ever seen. Katsuki’s pretty sure everyone who knows him is halfway in love with him anyway.
Todoroki gets hit with a quirk that affects those in his vicinity at the time. Unfortunately, that includes half the class. They all start treating him... differently. Bakugou, however, treats him exactly the same as always.

“Yeah,” Todoroki says, turning towards him. “It was good. You were good.” His stupid, mismatched eyes bore holes into the side of Katsuki’s head, the low timbre of his voice so fucking inappropriate for how many of their colleagues are still milling around the site. Katsuki hates the flush that crawls up his neck, hates the blasé affect that Todoroki speaks to him with, hates that it works on him. Somehow doesn’t hate that they’re still fucking doing this, doing each other, years and years down the line.
Bakugou and Todoroki are friends with benefits. It's enough. It has to be enough.(It'll never be enough.)
